Lately I've been wearing Kimonos so much, my GBF has actually started calling me 'Kimono Girl'. The first time I bought one was way back in 2010 and since then they've ever so slowly began taking over my wardrobe. I love clothing from around the globe and I like to mix it up with some western clothing. Think Indian Bridal Bindhi and chunky Asian jewellery with a crop top and bodycon skirt? Fusion clothing: it screams smexy to me!

I puchased this stunning floral number from Topshop a few years ago. It was one of those pieces that I wore once, washed it, dried it, put it back in the wardrobe and forgot about! Every now and then (weekly it seems) I go through one of those phases where "I've got nothing to wear!", so I'll pluck up the courage to dig deep into the wardrobe. And this is the baby I found.

I picked up the Jersey Midi dress from a charity shop back in April. It was actually a Maxi dress when I bought it, but my recent midi-craze meant that I had to cut a quarter off from the bottom, sew it back up. Et Voila! A midi dress!.

And yes, shock horror, I have my legs out. Initially I was wearing tights but as I was cycling (in heels, bad idea!) I peeled them off. It doesn't really help when you've got body oil on underneath either!

And there you have it!

Are you a kimono or midi loving girl? Or both? And have you ever cycled in heels? If it was a breeze, what's your secret? ;)

  16. Hey Halima, I love your look here. Fusion clothing...fantastic concept. Vancouver is very multi-cultural, and I can feel a shopping excursion coming on. I'm not a kimono girl...the sleeves bother me, but I love the midi length.
