You may remember a few weeks ago I did a haul post. In that post I mentioned a little gem of a find in Urban Outfitters' Matte Milk 1 nail polish. You'll notice that it's white. It's so wrong yet so right, all at the same time!

The packaging is a bit err... different. It's unique, and catches the eye immediately!

But you know what they say about judging books by their covers and all that. The formula is dreadful. It's so damned streaky it's untrue! I needed three coats to make this completely opaque. In between each coat, it took an eternity to dry. On the third coat I needed to wait even longer for it to dry thoroughly otherwise I'd have a serious case of the smudges on my hands.

In the end I gave up waiting, I used Seche Vite and let it work it's magic. Seriously girls, if you don't already have Seche Vite, WHY THE HECK NOT? One coat of this and within a couple of minutes, it's super dry!

The only downside to applying the Seche Vite is it didn't really provide the matte finish that this product should have given. But desperate times call for desperate measures!

I do love white nails, but I don't think I'll be hurrying to buy this again, however I did buy the Barry M Matte White nail paint today, I've got high hopes for this as Barry M has never let me down before.

What do you think about white nails? Yay? Or nay?

    I've always wanted to try white nail polish but i'm not sure it would suit me as I have pale skin! I think it looks lovely on you and it makes your nails look perfect :) xx

    Oh I like a white polish. It reminds me of the days painting my nails with whiteout in class. Too bad that the UO was streaky. If you find another matte white that you're happy with I would like to know.

    It looks cute! I think it would wash me out, I think the colours that flatter my skintone are reds, pinks and oranges. I love blue polishes too but they make my hands look so pale and odd :(

    It reminds me of painting my nails with TippEx in primary school and being told off for it! Haha.

    I love white nails, i have tried various white polishes and find that a lot of them are thick and streaky and difficult to use. I have recently purchased the stargazer polish in white which they stock in newlook and its suprisingly quite good seen as though its cheap, let me know about the barry m polish xx

    That UA polish sounds like a nightmare!
    But it looks nice, I like white polish. I have a barry m one and it was a breeze applying it from what I remember.

    Love white nails.

    Agree with the urban outfitters nail polish not being great to put on. Takes forever to make it look decent, however they do last a bit longer on the nail than other stuff!
